Each Cecilia’ed matchbox is more than a container of fire — it is a pocket-sized protest, a flicker of memory, and a tribute to the unspoken lives of women navigating public spaces. These matchboxes are fridge magnets too!!

Inspired by Cecilia’ed, a project that centers the question of safety for women, these matchboxes are designed to carry not just flames, but voices. Like quiet artifacts, they slip into palms and pockets, reminding us how something so small can still burn, illuminate, or warn.

They speak of sharp glances on dim streets, of footsteps quickening, of eyes scanning exits. But also of survival, sisterhood, and sparks of defiance. Each box asks a silent question: Who gets to feel safe? Who gets to be seen?
